This weekend is the local fair. Despite the 90 degree weather we ventured down to the festivities last night, watched the parachute jumpers land, ate Lion Burgers, and some of us went on a few carnival rides. The ride above is called the tornado - it was pretty calm compared to some others. Good thing Papa doesn't mind the spinning, upside-down rides!

I thought this was the Scrambler from when I was a kid, but I was wrong. Although the action/movement is still the same, it moved a lot faster. E was squishing Z due to the forces being thrust upon them. K rode with S in another "car" (not pictured) and laughed as his head implanted into S's side.

(I was too lazy to straighten this picture out!) K really wanted to go on the swings and we were down to the last 3 tickets so he got to go all by himself. When the ride was over, he said "That was awesome!"
It was a fun night out as a family. This morning we added more family time by watching the parade. The boys loved the fact that they came home with 5 pounds of candy. (I heard of a candy fairy that lives around here. On the day after a candy event - Halloween, Easter, parades, etc - the fairy trades candy for gifts. The amount of candy you have left determines the size of gift you receive. Wonder if that fairy will make it to our house tomorrow?)

Haven't ventured to our local fair in awhile maybe sometime soon. Love the idea of the candy fairy but this fairy would want to eat the candy.
Looks like you guys had a great time. Always fun to go to the local fair. As a kid, we went almost everyday of the fair. I haven't heard of the candy fairy, but what a great idea. Although my girls love the candy, they may not be so into the gifts. :P
