The first week of July

Each morning this week, my two oldest kiddos participated in a flag football camp. They enjoyed being active, playing capture the flag with footballs, hitting their parents and coaches in dodgeball games (I enjoyed getting them out as well!), and learning a few football skills. This is a new program in the area and I believe there are some really great people running it. They believe in having fun, learning skills, compacting it all into one afternoon a week, and letting kids try every position. E participated in their flag football league for a few weeks this spring and is planning on doing it again in the fall. My hubby is hoping to coach him this fall (as if one football coaching job wasn't enough.) Z is still deciding if he will try the league. He is now officially signed up for competitive fencing and isn't sure if he wants to do both.

K and Mimi have talked about going to the Man-made lake for the past 2 years. They go watch ducks, eat lunch, and spend some time outside. I hadn't ever been there so today while we were killing some time during flag football camp, K showed me where it was. We wandered around it and I snapped a few pictures. I really liked this one of my favorite big guy and my favorite littlest guy.

To celebrate the 4th, M, Z, and E are participating in a triathlon. K and I will be official photographers and their cheer section! We hope all of you have a safe and special 4th of July. If you get a chance, sing "God Bless the USA" while you watch the fireworks!

Sounds like all yours boys are having a great summer. We are going to try going to some big fireworks with the kids this year. Should be fun.
