First Days of School

Tuesday was Z and E's first day of school for the year. Z's fifth grade teacher is "awesome" in his opinion and he has really enjoyed the week. The only negative was having homework again - even on the first day.

E is enjoying 2nd grade although he's in a 2/3 blend. I haven't ever had a child in a blended class so I will have to learn a little more about it. He also likes his teacher and his favorite parts of his day are recess and/or PE. Imagine that! (I hope he hasn't made that face for his teacher!)

K's first day of preschool was today. He told Papa and Mimi it was "awesome" and even gave a hug to his teacher and instructional assistant at the end of the day. Thanks to Mimi I got this cute picture of him waving to me before heading out the door. He's lucky to have her to transport him each day (and so are we!)

My first week was exhausting, but pretty good. This new group of 7th graders are very well behaved - all 550-600 of the student body was silent on our fire drill yesterday and the lockdown drill today. For those of you familiar with this age group, that is quite an accomplishment!

Tomorrow is E's first soccer game of the season and K's first soccer game EVER. ***WARNING - VENTING*** Unfortunately I have to miss both (it makes me sad!) to take Z to fencing. (His Monday night classes got moved to Saturday morning - the same time as his brother's games and in completely different towns.) While I am glad to watch Z, I wish I could make it to all 3! (Oh yeah - and the football coach needs to get to his coaches' meeting at the same time too!!!!) ***VENTING OVER***

Glad the boys all had great first. Sounds like you need to clone yourself to make it to everything. Good luck.
