3...2...1...BLAST OFF!

In April, Z experienced a "once in a lifetime" treat.  At only 10 years old, he traveled to Florida with his grandparents and watched the STS-131 launch from Kennedy Space Center.  (More pics from that trip to be posted later)  Here's a pic of the three of them on a tour day.
On Saturday, June 19, we were SO excited to listen to one of the astronauts from STS-131 (the shuttle they watched in Florida), Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger at the local science museum.  We took pictures, got autographs, and watched a slide show of the astronauts' time in space.  Truly amazing for Z to experience the launch and visit with an astronaut from that shuttle flight.
