This week was a milestone in K's life. After his lifetime of watching his brothers at practice and games, K FINALLY is on a team of his very own. He is loving practice! This picture above was taken as he was running off the field for a water break. He even has the proper technique for hydrating himself - squirt water in mouth and throw water bottle down. ;) Games begin September 12, but for now I get to transport kids to soccer practice Monday through Thursday. (Oh yeah, fencing is on Mondays, HS football on Friday, soccer games on Saturdays, and flag football on Sundays - yippee?!?!? See below for some other new fun in our family.)
Last night at football practice my hubby tore the Achilles tendon on his right foot. Of course he was on the field again this morning, but he can't drive so I am his chauffeur. He doesn't exactly work close to home so I am not sure how we're going to get him to and from work for however long it takes to heal. He goes back to the doctor on Tuesday and will have surgery within a week of that visit. Just when I thought things were going to get busy with sports and work. OK - now that I "vented" I'll get on with "dealing with it!"

Your schedule makes me tired just thinking about it. Not a great way for Mr. L to start the school year. Remember.....time DOES fly! Good luck to all of you!!! Hooray for K being on his OWN team!!! :)
Wow!! Sure hope Matt heals quickly. Probably not the way you are envisioned the beginning of the school year to start. Good luck to you!! You'll definitely be in my prayers.
Vent away, that's why we have our blogs. Congrats to K for finally being on his own team. Hope Matt heals quickly so life returns to "normal"
Ouch! I hope the recovery is speedy.
Yay for blogs to be able to share some of our feelings. I love the picture of K at practice...he is just beaming!! I wish we were closer to help you out with all the day to day activities. You are going to be putting a lot of miles on the car.
