Neighborhood BBQ

Each year the neighborhood holds a BBQ. It begins with the kids parade. Sometimes they decorate their bikes and sometimes they just ride them. The parade route is about a block long (slightly downhill) and it takes about 15 seconds for the oldest bunch. The younger ones haven't learned to rush through everything in life and stretch it out to a couple of minutes. The first two pictures are the parade participants and the third is the spectators. Aside from the yummy burgers and dogs (see the official Q chef in the fourth picture), there is a BBQ contest for the adults to participate in and/or judge. This year's theme was seafood (not too exciting for someone like me who doesn't like seafood, but oh well). We met a few of the neighbors we hadn't met yet and enjoyed conversations with some we talk to often.

That looks like so much fun and I would have enjoyed the seafood! I like that Kael took "toots" along for the parade ride!
