Tonight I got to do something I rarely ever do - have a night out and go to a concert - thanks to my wonderful husband. My mother-in-law and I went to see two concerts - Darius Rucker was the opening act, but he was as big a draw as the main act, Rascal Flatts. We had a great time! I shot some video too, but when you "dance" and video at the same time it makes viewers nauseous. I figured it would be good to spare you all. Darius was a little bit country with some Hootie thrown in. He ended with Purple Rain by Prince. I wasn't too sure about that one, but all the rest were great. Since it was the last show on their tour, Darius was carried off stage on a stretcher. Rascal Flatts has SO many great songs that I loved the fact I could sing along and no one could hear my awful singing. Gary invited a young girl to join him on stage and sing parts of a song with him. She knew all the words and did a pretty good job staying on key.
The encore was spectacular - Revolution, Hold My Hand (from Darius's Hootie days - Matt's and my song, if we have one) and Life is a Highway (from the movie
Cars).

Guess I should get to bed - it's 12:15 AM and we have 2 soccer games, fencing, a bday party, trick-or-treating, DUCK game, and a Halloween party a little bit later today. Ahhhhh - back to the real world! In the words of Darius Rucker - "It won't be like this for long. . ."
PS Soccer and flag football finish this weekend! Hooray!
