Author's Celebration

I was thrilled to get to attend my oldest's Author's Celebration at school. Each student read two of their writing pieces from the year. I was impressed with the vocabulary (word choice for those who know about scoring writing work samples), voice, and ideas/content in this 4th grade writing. (For those of you in education, it was a great way to showcase student work and have parents feel proud of their kids.)

What a cool way for the kids to be able to share their work with their classmates and parents. I am sure Zebe did a great job....even at second grade he had an amazing vocab. I know that I didn't get to see his work, but I am still so proud of him!

Can't believe how grown up Z is looking. What a great way for students to share their work especially at the 4th grade level.

I'm curious...what were the titles of Zebe's pieces? Great experience to read in front of peers & parents! Good job, Zeb!!!
